Hey Jolly Mon! Well I have a boat up north in the Cincinnati ohio area. It is not as nice as yours but We are still fellow boaters. I hope to retire on a boat and enjoy the ICW.

We begin the day at 8:00 and pulled back up to the dock at 3:00 and in between those times we saw the most beautiful Georgia coastline imaginable. Capt Wild Bill is a great tour guide and naturalist. He took us to an 200 yr old shipwreck on the beach and gently disembarked us to explore it. No worries, no hurry. We visited Blackbeard, Sapalo and St Catherines islands and enjoyed Wild Bills stories of each. He tossed a shrimp net and came up with 79 shrimp in one cast! He pulled up a crab trap with at least 40 crabs. We visited "Walk over" beach which you literally get out of the boat and walk over a sand dune to a incredible beach. Our up close visit to St Catherines had a extra bonus of a fresh water gator lying on the bank. We now can identify Great Blue Herons, Great Egreats, Snowy egreats and know the call of the elusive Marsh Hen. What a great day. Thanks Wild Bill.

I recently had the opportunity to visit coastal Georgia for the first time. My sisters and I had an absolutely wonderful vacation with lots of adventure and relaxation. But the highlight of the entire vacation was the island tour we took with Capt. Wild Bill! It was an unbelievable experience for me. I saw such beautiful scenery that it would absolutey take my breath! And seeing the wildlife, expecially the dolphins, was just awesome. I have to say that, Capt. Wild Bill was the perfect tour guide and host. He seemed to know exactly where we needed to be to see the most breathtaking sights! Thanks Capt. Wild Bill! See you same time next year!

Captain Wild Bill’s EcoTour was the highlight of our week! If you’re a nature lover, birdwatcher, or just like being in the beautiful surroundings of coastal Georgia, you’ll love this outing. We saw so many types of birds, it’s hard to remember them all. I think the most impressive was the group of pelicans that were just sitting on one of the islands. From a distance, they looked like debris littering the beach. As we passed, they all took off in flight. Beautiful! I had never seen so many pelicans in one place. Blackbeard Island was a treat in itself. We pulled up next to some sand dunes and walked on a pristine beach with no one else around. There were numerous sand dollars and horseshoe crabs to collect. What a treat! My favorite part of the tour was sighting the dolphins. One of the dolphins (or maybe more than one) actually played with us (or the boat). It went from side to side, actually passing right under the boat in front of us. It seemed to stick around for quite a while . . . I was so excited to see this, I’m not sure how long it lasted! Captain Wild Bill never rushed us at all, he was very patient. We will definitely do this tour again on our next trip to coastal Georgia!

My 3 sisters and I went for the Island Hopping Tour and had a truly wonderful experience. One on my sisters , a land lubber from a cattle ranch, had her first experience on a boat and was lucky enough to get Capt. Wild Bill for her first tour! We saw the barrier islands, learned all about sea birds and even saw an alligator. Also, we spotted a Bald Eagle on one of the islands, saw ospreys, and "played' with dolphins which appeared to be playing with our boat! One sister, a camera fanatic, took over 900 pictures!!! Maybe I should mention that our group consisted of "mature" females and Capt. Wild Bill seemed to know instinctively what we would enjoy. We plan to vacation together next year and will most certainly call upon our favorite Capt. to take us out again. Maybe we might try a little fishing! We just had fun and more fun and want to do it all again.

Wild Bill! We had a great time and it was a REAL adventure. Not Disneyland or a movie but the real deal. By far the most fun I have had in years and without a doubt the best fishin trip I have ever taken. Karen really appreciated the boat ride out and back and learning about how you try to think like a fish and know the ins and outs of the area naturally. You are the man! We'll be back.

[...] Eight of us, from OAS, entered a scenic trail at Savannah-Ogeechee Canal and walked in the shade of moss draped cypress trees. Expert birders, Diana Churchill and Dot Bambach instructed how to recognize the calls of Red-eyed Vireos and Prothonotary Warblers. Working as a team, utilizing our ears, we zeroed in on Red-eyed Vireos in the treetops. First we heard their loud calls, focused on their direction, and then used our eyes to spot one moving while it hopped from branch to branch. This technique worked well for locating the Prothonotary Warbler too. Read More … [...]
